Gnuboy GX finally gets it's own channel! Game used in this video: Kirby's Dream Land. Okay I just downloaded gnuboy gx and I'm very happy with it. But it doesnt have a forwarder channel. I looked endlessly on google on how to make one. I kept being misled or sent to old pages that said there was a better way and that to ANOTHER better way and so ON. Well I got sick of swimming in the endless informational ocean that is google, being thrown from coast to coast, so now I ask here. I have a Wii (as described in my sig), what would be the best way to make a forwarder channel. If you could post detailed info as to everything I need I would be grateful. It doesnt have to be super fancy, though Id love it NOT to be a white screen with a title. On the other hand you could just take this as a request and make it for me. But then I wouldnt learn Well thanks in advance. Well, you won't like it because it's only text on unicolor background, but you could check:: Tell him the folder name you are using in apps/ and compile a forwarder channel. You can also check which have a 'generic' (non hardcoded path) forwarders: edit a config file on your SD with the path of the boot.dol to launch You can also find dynamic forwarders channel with different loading path according to the pressed button. (though the paths are hardcoded, you'll have to recompile yourself to add your own emulator name and path). If you want to compile a channel yourself, you'll need devkitPro with the libOGC version provided by SpaceJump. (You may require an old devkitPPC version too) You can replace the picture directly on the compilation process. If you have already have a Wad channel but with a wrong banner (for example you used Simple Forwarder Channel Creator), you can create your own Banner animation. (have steps for banner replacement with your own picture). This reddit is for people interested in modifying their Wii. Disclaimer; The Mods nor anyone who posts in are responsible for your Wii. Piracy is NOT supported here Please limit your posts and responses to modding your Wii. Posts and comments that imply, hint, or state out-right, intentions of piracy and/or any other illegal activity will be removed. You won't receive a warning. The post or comment, if seen by a mod, will simply be removed. Do it more than once and we'll remove your ability to post. Again, you will receive no warning, and ignorance is no excuse. To clarifiy: Piracy!= Breaking Terms of Service. Pirating intellectual property is not the same as violating a company's terms of service. The former has a chance of landing you in jail, the latter could at most result in a civil suit with a fine (in the USA anyway). Piracy goes directly against the forum rules. Violating a TOS does not. Luckily this greatly simplifies what you as a poster needs to remember about piracy and this forum. Piracy is simply theft. Don't talk about stealing something, whether you've done it, or are going to do it. If you have obtained what you're talking about in a way the law would consider stealing, you're violating the piracy rule. Talking about violating a company's TOS with your legally obtained equipment and software does not violate this rule. If it did, there'd be no reason for this forum to exist. Rules of Social Conduct This shouldn't need to be said, but No abuse and no spam. And don't make us have to define either. If you have any problems or questions, feel free to message a moderator. As long as your Wii is still (mostly) functional, find some help, start the modding process over. You (almost) never need to undo what you've already done. Un-modding your Wii Simply put; No. It can be done to an extent, but there are some things you will never undo. If you want to un-mod your Wii because your current mod job is causing problems, find a better tutorial, start over.
